Brian is a serial entrepreneur and investor focused on the software, internet/digital media and blockchain sectors. He runs FounderPartners, a global financial services platform that comprises successful serial technology entrepreneurs and M&A professionals who build, invest in and exit companies.
Brian co-founded and/or invested in 33 private companies since 1999. Of that group, 13 exited, 16 are independent and 4 were shut down. Some of his exits include AdMovate (sold to Yahoo!), IMsecure (sold to Check Point Software), Cleanshelf (sold to LeanIX), Meltwater (IPO), Braintrust (ICO), Pixoart Design (sold to 51.com), Ultris (sold to Saba), Fotolog (sold to Hi-Media), Qpod (sold to Groupon) and GlobalEnglish (sold to Pearson). His private companies include Wheelhouse, Mixbook, Pinkoi, Chairish, iDentalSoft, CFOPlans, AddEvent, Mai, SalesHood, OurSong, Landingi, Facepay, Microtica, p10y, MyHomePark and Testery. Brian is also an LP in Infinity Venture Partners, a Japan-China mobile Internet fund.
Earlier in his career, Brian ran corporate development at Macromedia where he managed strategy and acquisitions and facilitated the sale of the company to Adobe for $4 billion. He also was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley & Co. (New York and London) and Robertson Stephens (San Francisco) where he closed more than 40 mergers, acquisitions and financings.
Brian has spent philanthropic time mentoring early stage technology entrepreneurs in Africa. He previously served on the Board of MEST (Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology).
