Position Overview:

As a Collections Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing our accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. This position requires someone who is not only skilled in collections but also capable of providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is experienced in loan collections, understands the challenges of a startup environment, and is ready to roll up their sleeves to contribute to our growth and help solve problems for our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage and collect on past due accounts, ensuring timely payment from clients.

  • Analyze customer accounts to identify outstanding balances and communicate effectively to resolve any payment issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of all collections activities and communications in the company’s CRM system.

  • Flex across the customer service team as needed, providing support in addressing client inquiries, resolving complaints, and assisting with account management.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, providing exceptional service to retain their business and ensure satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with other departments to address client needs and improve overall customer experience.

  • Partner with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience and address any issues related to collections or customer service.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our collections and customer service strategies.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in collections, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry

  • Experience with loan collections and familiarity with B2B working capital products is highly desirable.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.

  • Proven track record of achieving collections targets while maintaining positive client relationships.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

  • High level of integrity, grit, and determination.

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
