Jai Malik is the founder and CEO of Amca, which is designing and manufacturing the next generation of critical products for the aerospace and defense industry. Amca launched with $76M in initial funding from leading investors, including Caffeinated Capital, Founders Fund, Lux Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Construct Capital.

A serial entrepreneur in aerospace and defense, Jai began his career as an early team member at Accrete, which has raised over $30M, and Forge.AI, later acquired by FiscalNote. In 2020, he founded Countdown Capital, a venture firm focused on early-stage aerospace and defense startups. Through Countdown, he backed numerous companies vital to national security, including K2 Space and Hadrian, and incubated new manufacturing ventures, before successfully exiting the firm’s positions in 2024.
