Why We Invested in Migrate Mate

For international candidates, the job market operates like a game with missing rules. Two applicants can look identical on paper, but one has a silent variable attached to their name—visa sponsorship.

Mihailo Bozic lived that reality firsthand. After moving from Australia and losing his job in New York, he had 60 days to find a sponsor or leave the country. Three days before the deadline, an offer finally came. He decided to build a system that makes sponsorship visible.

Today, we’re excited to invest in Migrate Mate, an AI-powered job + visa platform. Mihailo has navigated multiple work visas and partnered with his best friend, Dylan Gibbs, who previously bootstrapped a startup to $800K in revenue. Their proprietary data engine scans millions of jobs daily to identify who actually sponsors. In six months, the platform scaled to 10,000+ paying subscribers and over $1M ARR, with a waitlist still converting.

The Opportunity

  • Roughly 900M people worldwide want to migrate, yet sponsorship remains one of the least transparent steps in the journey.

  • 50,000+ U.S. employers sponsor visas, but most job platforms don’t surface that signal. The result is wasted time and the preventable loss of skilled immigrants from the U.S.

  • Early unit economics are strong (~4:1 LTV:CAC), with monetization across both consumers and employers.

  • Legal work is becoming AI-first. Immigration is one of the best fields for this transition due to the form-like nature of most visa petitions which is both repeatable and scalable.

What Migrate Mate Actually Builds

Think of Migrate Mate as the infrastructure layer between global talent and sponsorship:

  • Living sponsorship graph: A proprietary crawler analyzes millions of jobs daily, labeling which employers sponsor and under what conditions.

  • AI-powered job discovery: Natural-language search, eligibility checks, alerts, and application tooling designed specifically for migrants.

  • Marketplace rails: Employers access ranked, visa-ready candidates, while law firms and partners integrate through referral workflows.

  • End-to-end immigration stack (roadmap): From discovery to filings to post-arrival compliance, evolving into a system of record for global mobility.

When Mihailo was racing the clock, the hardest part was information. When sponsorship becomes visible, pathways open, and opportunity becomes less dependent on luck or insider knowledge. By turning opaque immigration workflows into software, Migrate Mate gives millions of skilled people a clearer path to contribute where they’re needed most. We’re proud to back them as they build the operating system for global mobility.

If you’re building to make opportunity more accessible, our inbox is always open. Welcome to the Redbud family, Migrate Mate. We’re excited to watch them make opportunities more accessible for millions navigating the immigration journey.
